The Woolworth Road Landfill accepts a variety of waste materials, including general household waste, yard and landscape waste, construction and demolition debris, domestic sewerage, uncontaminated packaging material, and machinery components. The landfill also accepts industrial solids and sludges, asbestos waste, and special handling wastes. However, there are some materials that are not accepted at the landfill, including hazardous, toxic or infectious waste, whole tires, lead-acid batteries, waste oil, and white goods.

It is open Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The compactor is closed on New Year’s Day, MLK Day, Presidents Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
The Norris Ferry Compactor accepts a variety of waste materials, including household trash, mixed paper recycling, scrap metal, and Goodwill donations. The compactor does not accept hazardous waste, construction and demolition debris, or yard waste.
The Norris Ferry Compactor is free to use for Caddo Parish residents. Non-residents are charged a fee of $10 per load.
