Elgin, Illinois, residents can dispose of their trash and recyclables at the Waste Management (WM) transfer station located at 15256 NE North Drive, Fletcher, OK 73541. The transfer station is open to the public Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM and on Saturdays from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The transfer station is closed on Sundays and holidays.
Fees
There is a $10 minimum charge up to 1 ton of waste delivered to the transfer station. $15 charge if over 1 ton (2,000 pounds)
Accepted Items
The transfer station accepts the following items:
- Household trash
- Recyclables (paper, plastic, metal, glass)
- Yard waste
- Construction debris
- Appliances
- Furniture
- Electronics
- Tires
Unaccepted Items
The transfer station does not accept the following items:
- Hazardous waste
- Medical waste
- Radioactive waste
- Explosives
- Ammunition
- Large appliances (refrigerators, freezers, stoves, etc.)
- Mattresses
- Box springs
- Pianos
- Hot tubs
- Swimming pools
Additional Information
- Residents can bring up to 10 bags of trash per week to the transfer station.
- Residents must sort their trash and recyclables before bringing them to the transfer station.
- Residents can purchase trash bags and recycling bins at the transfer station.
- The transfer station offers a drop-off service for bulky items, such as appliances and furniture.
- The transfer station has a recycling center where residents can drop off their recyclables.
