Drop-Off Centers

Harris County operates three convenience centers where residents can drop off their household trash, including heavy items like furniture, appliances, and yard waste. The centers are open Friday through Monday from 7 AM to 5 PM.

For larger loads of trash, such as construction debris or commercial waste, residents can use the Harris County Transfer Station. The transfer station is open Monday through Saturday from 8 AM to 4 PM.

Fees

There is no charge to drop off household trash at the convenience centers. However, there is a fee for dropping off commercial waste at the transfer station. The fee is based on the weight of the waste.
