Mequon Dump Hours: Everything You Need to Know

Are you a Mequon resident looking to dispose of brush and yard waste? Look no further than the City of Mequon’s Brush & Yard Waste Disposal Center!

Brush & Yard Waste Disposal Center Hours:

The center is open from April 2 to November 30, 2023, with the following hours:

• April – August:
  • Wednesdays: 7:30 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Saturdays: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• September – November:
  • Wednesdays and Saturdays: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

What Can You Dispose Of?

The center accepts the following materials:

• Brush and branches up to 12″ in diameter
• Yard waste (grass, leaves, weeds, etc.) under 1″ in diameter

Important Note: Logs, stumps, railroad ties, construction lumber, rocks, sod, and garbage are not accepted.

Yard Waste Disposal Guidelines:

• Yard waste must be kept separate from brush and branches.
• No bags, boxes, or other receptacles are allowed on site.
• Invasive weeds (see list below) must be placed in a clear bag labeled “Invasive Plants—Please Landfill” and disposed of with regular waste haulers.

• Garlic mustard
• Purple loosestrife
• Spotted knapweed
• Leafy spurge
• Crown vetch
• Dames rocket
• Yellow and white clover
• Wild parsnips
• Canada thistle
• Common and cut leaf teasel
• Birds-foot trefoil
• Tansy

Permit Requirements:

An annual permit is required for unlimited use of the center. Permits can be purchased:

• In person at Mequon City Hall or Mequon Police Dept.
• Online at www.ci.mequon.wi.us

The permit fee is $25.00.

Additional Information:

• Wood chips, logs for firewood, and compost are available for residents.
• No commercial equipment is allowed on site for loading assistance.
• Load size is limited to approximately two cubic yards.
• Violators of the center’s policies may have their permit revoked.
