Dalton MA Dump Hours and Information

The Dalton Transfer Station is located at Bridle Road, off Park Avenue, Dalton, MA 01226. The Transfer Station is open to Dalton residents for both solid waste and recycling.

Hours of Operation:

  • Transfer Station (Solid Waste/Recyclables):
    • Tuesdays & Wednesdays: 2 PM – 6 PM
    • Fridays & Saturdays: 8 AM – 4 PM
  • Brush Pile:
    • Tuesdays & Wednesdays: 2 PM – 6 PM
    • Fridays & Saturdays: 8 AM – 4 PM
  • Redeemable Bottles and Cans:
    • Collected by Scout Troop 4 the first Saturday of each month from 8 AM – 4 PM

Fees:

  • Vehicle stickers:
    • $120 for the first vehicle in a household (purchased at the Transfer Station)
    • $114 for the first vehicle in a household (purchased online)
    • $40 for a second sticker for the same address
  • Bag stickers:
    • 30-gallon bag: $4 each ($20 for a package of 5)
    • 15-gallon bag: $3 each ($15 for a package of 5)
  • Bulky waste items:
    • Varies depending on the item. See the Transfer Station website for a complete list of fees.

  • TVs and monitors
  • Mattresses and box springs
  • Textiles

Other Services:

  • Household hazardous waste: Dalton residents can dispose of household hazardous waste at the Pittsfield Household Hazardous Waste Facility.
  • Concrete: Residents can contact Lenox Valley WTF for pricing and logistics.
  • Items with CFCs: The transfer station does not accept refrigerators, freezers, or AC units that are charged with CFCs.
  • Car batteries: Most auto part stores accept car batteries. Call ahead to see if there is a fee.
  • TVs/Monitors: The Salvation Army may accept certain TVs and monitors. Call ahead for more information. Lenox Valley WTF also accepts TVs/Monitors for a fee.
