- $10 for a small load (up to 1,000 pounds)
- $20 for a large load (over 1,000 pounds)
- Houston Neighborhood Depositories & Recycling Centers:
- Free for up to four visits per month
Proof of Residency
To use the Houston Neighborhood Depositories & Recycling Centers, you must provide proof of residency. Acceptable forms of proof of residency include:
- A current state of Texas-issued identification card, such as a Texas Driver’s license, Texas Department of Public Safety-issued I.D. card, or Texas License to Carry Permit
- A utility bill (power, water, or gas) from the current month or previous two (2) months
- A lease agreement or rental agreement for a City of Houston address
- For residential property owners whose primary residence is outside the state of Texas, who do not have a Texas ID, a current property tax bill
- For out-of-state STUDENTS at Houston universities, a current student I.D.
Additional Information
- Permits: Permits are required for dumping at the Hardin County Citizens Collection Station. Permits can be purchased at the Floodplain Administration Office located at 225 Crocker Street, Kountze, TX 77625.
- Unloading: You are responsible for unloading any item or items yourself at both the Hardin County Citizens Collection Station and the Houston Neighborhood Depositories & Recycling Centers.
- Hazardous materials: Hazardous materials, such as paint, chemicals, and batteries, are not accepted at either the Hardin County Citizens Collection Station or the Houston Neighborhood Depositories & Recycling Centers.
- Electronics: Electronics, such as televisions, computers, and monitors, are not accepted at the Hardin County Citizens Collection Station. However, they are accepted at the Houston Neighborhood Depositories & Recycling Centers.
