The cost to dispose of waste at the Lacy dump varies depending on the type of waste and the amount of waste.

  • Household trash: $18 minimum (under 300 pounds), $119/ton (prorated)
  • Construction and demolition debris: $18 minimum (under 300 pounds), $119/ton (prorated)
  • Yard waste: $9 minimum (under 300 pounds), $45/ton (less than 10 cubic yards, prorated), $37/ton (10+ cubic yards, prorated)
  • Recyclables: No charge

  • The Lacy dump is located at the west edge of La Cygne on K-152 (next to the river bridge).
  • The Lacy dump is a service of Linn County and the operator is employed by the City of La Cygne.
  • In addition to ordinary household trash, the Lacy dump has recycling bins for metal, cardboard, mixed plastics, and paper.
  • No paint, oil, tires, batteries, shingles, wood, siding, furniture, or other hazardous materials are allowed at the Lacy dump.
