Fees
The fees for using the Dekalb dump vary depending on the type of waste you are disposing of. Here is a breakdown of the fees:
- Garbage, furniture, yard trimmings, and construction and demolition material:
- Up to 999 lbs. – $48.00
- Over 1,000 lbs. – prorated at $95.00 per ton
- Animals:
- Securing and preparing the landfill burial site – $200.00
- Animals (from DeKalb residents) – $25.00
- Animals (non-DeKalb County residents) – $100.00
- Appliances and all items with Freon – $48 per item
- Personal vehicle tires (no commercial vehicle tires; up to 10 tires per visit) – $10 per tire

The Dekalb dump accepts a wide variety of waste materials, including:

Types of Waste Not Accepted
The Dekalb dump does not accept the following types of waste:
- Hazardous materials (corrosive materials, explosive materials, inflammable materials, or dangerous materials of any kind)
- Liquids (including old paint, used motor oil, etc.)
- Lead-acid batteries
- Feces
- Old tires generated through a commercial operation
Additional Information
- Residents of Dekalb County or licensed DeKalb County businesses can use the Landfill.
- To prove residency, you will need to have a DeKalb County vehicle registration sticker on your tag, a DeKalb County address on your driver’s license, or a DeKalb County government invoice (such as a water bill or tax assessment).
