Flynn Road Dump Hours: Everything You Need to Know
Are you a Greece resident looking to dispose of your yard waste? The Town of Greece Transfer Station, located at 635 Flynn Road, is the perfect place for you. This facility is open to Greece residents only and accepts certain yard waste materials generated from their own residential property.
Flynn Road Dump Hours
The Town of Greece Transfer Station is open to residents during the following hours:
- Monday – Friday: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Sunday: Closed
What Materials Are Accepted?
The Town of Greece Transfer Station accepts the following materials:
- Brush
- Tree branches
- Grass clippings
- Leaves
- Sod
- Topsoil
- Concrete
- Tree stumps (reasonably free of dirt and rocks)
What Materials Are Not Accepted?
The Town of Greece Transfer Station does not accept the following materials:
- Lumber
- Floor tiles
- Roof shingles (and other building materials)
- Fill dirt
- Tree stump grindings
- Wood chips
- Landscaping bricks and rocks
- Electronics
- Garbage
- Household appliances
- Any other material determined to be unacceptable for recycling
How to Prepare Your Materials
To ensure that your materials are accepted at the Town of Greece Transfer Station, please prepare them in the following way:
- Materials must be in paper bags or dumped loose in the identified piles.
- Do not put materials in plastic bags, totes, buckets, or similar items.
Fees
There is no charge to drop off or pick up mulch and compost at the Town of Greece Transfer Station. However, there is a nominal delivery fee for mulch and compost delivery.
Additional Information
- Non-residents, private contractors, and motorized equipment are not permitted at the Town of Greece Transfer Station.
- Greece residents who own a dual axle or dump body truck or trailer and are doing work on their own residential property can use this equipment to drop off their yard waste material. However, they must first visit the Greece Department of Public Works located at 647 Long Pond Road and provide a copy of their license and truck/trailer registration.
- Tree Service contractors must obtain a Town permit to perform tree work in the Town of Greece.
