Acceptable Materials

The Harrisville Recycling Center accepts a wide range of recyclable materials, including:

• Cans & Plastics (steel and aluminum cans, #1 and #2 plastics)
• Mixed Paper (cardboard, office paper, books, magazines, newspapers)
• Glass jars and bottles

Unacceptable Materials

The following materials are not accepted at the Recycling Center:

• Household hazardous waste
• Ceramics, light bulbs, Pyrex, window glass
• Brush, demo materials, metals, appliances
• Other household waste

Tipping Fees

For unsorted materials brought to the facility, the following tipping fees apply:

• Passenger vehicles: $10.00 per trip
• Trucks, vans, and trailers up to 3/4 ton: $20.00 per trip
• Trucks larger than 3/4 ton: $60.00 per trip

Recycling Ordinance
