The BCEP Solid Waste District is responsible for solid waste management and recycling for the towns of Barnstead, Chichester, Epsom, and Pittsfield, New Hampshire. The district’s facility is located in Pittsfield, NH.
Hours of Operation:
- Tuesday – Friday: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- Saturday: 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Fees:
- Permit Stickers: Required for all vehicles entering the facility.
- Tipping Fees: Vary depending on the type of waste being disposed of.

Compost:
The BCEP Solid Waste District also offers compost to Barnstead residents. Residents can bring their own containers to fill up for free. Pickup truck loads are available for loading with BCEP equipment for $10.
Additional Information:
- The facility is closed on Sundays and Mondays.
- During inclement weather and/or power outages, the facility may close early.
