Plum Creek Dump Hours: Everything You Need to Know
If you’re a resident of Montgomery County, Virginia, and you’re looking for a place to dispose of your household waste and recyclables, the Plum Creek dump is a great option. The dump is open every day of the week, except for the following holidays:
- New Year’s Day
- Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
- Easter
- Memorial Day
- Juneteenth
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Columbus Day
- Election Day
- Veterans Day
- Thanksgiving
- Christmas
Summer Hours (effective with Spring time change)
- Monday-Friday: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Saturday: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Sunday: 12 to 6 p.m.
Winter Hours (effective with Fall time change)
- Monday-Friday: 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Saturday: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Sunday: 12 to 6 p.m.
The Plum Creek dump accepts the following items:
- Household waste
- Recyclables (aluminum, steel and bimetal cans, glass, #1 – #2 plastic only (no Styrofoam), newspaper and glossy magazines and catalogs, corrugated cardboard and used motor oil and anti-freeze)
- Appliances
- Mattresses
- Furniture
The dump does not accept the following items:
- Metal fuel tanks
- Oil drums
- Cylinders
- Yard waste
- Commercial or construction waste
- Animal parts
- Ashes
- Automotive parts
Auto tires are accepted at the dump.
Fees
There is no charge to dispose of household waste at the Plum Creek dump. However, there is a fee to dispose of certain items, such as appliances, mattresses, and furniture. The fees are as follows:
- Appliances: $10
- Mattresses: $10
- Furniture: $5 per item
