Seminole County residents and businesses have access to two convenient waste disposal facilities: the Central Transfer Station and the Seminole County Landfill. Both locations offer varying hours of operation and accept different types of waste. Understanding the dump hours and guidelines for each facility can help you plan your disposal trips efficiently.
Central Transfer Station
Address: 1950 State Road 419, Longwood, FL 32750
Hours: Monday-Saturday, 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Accepted Waste:
- Household garbage
- Yard waste
- Recycling
- Household hazardous waste
- Clean corrugated cardboard
- Tires (limit of 4)
Not Accepted:
- Construction & demolition debris
- Appliances (white goods)
- Furniture
- Tree stumps and large branches
- Asbestos
- Commercial yard waste
- Dump trailers
Seminole County Landfill
Address: 1930 E. Osceola Road, Geneva, FL 32732
Hours: 7 Days a week, 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Accepted Waste:
- Appliances (white goods)
- Large items
- Scrap metal
- Tires
- Used motor oil
- Used oil filters
- Lead acid batteries
- Propane tanks
- Fire extinguishers
Not Accepted:
- Household hazardous waste (chemicals, electronics, gasoline, etc.)
Drop-Off Rules for Both Facilities
- Obey all posted traffic signs and speed limits.
- Yield to operating machinery and pedestrians.
- All vehicles must stop at the scalehouse for instruction.
- Only dump in areas directed by County employees.
Additional Information
- Cash and credit cards are accepted at both facilities.
- Due to limited connectivity, credit cards may not always be available at the Landfill. It’s recommended to have a secondary form of payment.
