If you’re looking to dispose of brush and other bulky items in Addison, Texas, you’ll need to know the brush dump hours. The Addison Public Works and Engineering Department offers a bulk, brush, and household hazardous waste (HHW) collection service for single-family residents.
Brush Dump Hours:
- Monday – Thursday: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Important Notes:
- Collections are only carried out during the department’s business hours.
- Specific times or days for individual collections cannot be scheduled.
- Items must be set out at your curb or alley before submitting a collection request.
- The team cannot enter your property to collect items.
Acceptable Items:
- Hot water heaters
- Mattresses
- Appliances without refrigerants
- Furniture
- Brush (less than 6 feet long)
- Bags of leaves
- Cardboard
- Paint*
- Batteries*
- Light bulbs*
*These items are considered hazardous waste and must be secured in a container, such as a cardboard box, and labeled as hazardous waste before being set out for pickup.
Unacceptable Items:
- Propane tanks
- Appliances containing refrigerants (refrigerators, freezers, AC units, etc.)
- Brush that is longer than 6 feet
- Concrete/Asphalt
- Bricks/Landscaping rock
- Tile flooring
- Soil
- Tires
How to Request a Collection:
- Visit the Bulk, Brush & HHW Collection Request page.
- Fill out the form with your name, email, phone number, address, and a description of the items you need to be collected.
- Submit the form.
Additional Information:
- This service is for single-family residents only.
- Commercial or multi-family properties should contact their waste provider for bulk collections.
- Please allow a minimum of 48 business hours for staff to collect your items.
- Emergencies and special job operations may delay field crew response time.
