The Township of Algonquin Highlands operates four waste management sites with varying hours of operation depending on the season.

Maple Lake Waste Disposal Site

• Location: 1302 McPhail Road
• Materials accepted:
  • Household waste and recycling (in clear bags or open containers only)

Pine Springs Waste Disposal Site

Dorset Transfer Station Waste Disposal Site

Holidays

All sites are closed on December 25 and January 1. Regular site hours apply on December 26. All sites are open 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Family Day (3rd Monday in February).

On the following days, all sites are open 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM:

• Victoria Day (3rd Monday in May)
• Monday following Canada Day (July 1) only if July 1 falls on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday
• Civic Holiday (1st Monday in August)
• Labour Day (1st Monday in September)
• Thanksgiving Day (2nd Monday in October)

Additional Information

• Site attendants are not able to assist in lifting heavy items. If you require assistance to load items in your vehicle, please ensure you have assistance for unloading at the site.
