Balmoral Dump Hours of Operation

The Balmoral dump is open to the public on the following days and times:

• Friday: 10:00am – 5:00pm
• Saturday: 10:00am – 5:00pm
• Sunday: 10:00am – 5:00pm
• Monday: 10:00am – 5:00pm

The dump is closed on all holidays.

Materials Accepted at the Balmoral Dump

The Balmoral dump accepts the following materials:

• Household garbage
• Recycling
• Household hazardous waste (HHW)
• Electronics
• Oil and antifreeze
• Tires

Materials Not Accepted at the Balmoral Dump

The Balmoral dump does not accept the following materials:

• Large volumes of waste
• Liquid waste
• Dead animals
• Commercial waste
• Clean fill

Fees for Using the Balmoral Dump

There is a fee to use the Balmoral dump. The fee schedule is as follows:

• Standard size garbage bag: $3.00 per bag
• Pickup/utility trailer/furniture (8’x5’x2′ = 80ft3  = 3 yards): $20.00 per load
• Single axle (one ton or truck/trailer with side extensions) (8’x5’x6’= 9 yards): $67.50 per load
• Tandem – 12 to 14 yards: $125.00 per load
• Semi-Trailer (Teulon site Only): $205.00 per load
• Recycling / Compost / Steel: No charge
• Burnable (Half Ton/Utility Trailer): $10.00 per load
• Burnable (Tandem/Semi-trailer): Not Accepted
• Appliances containing refrigerant (active or decommissioned): $30.00 per unit
• **Excavation Waste – Clean Fill (Teulon site Only): ** No Charge
• Waste Tires: No Charge
• Burning Barrels: $5.00 per barrel

Refuse Permit

To ensure that residents receive the appropriate rate, each household located in the RM of Rockwood and the Town of Teulon will be assigned a Refuse Permit to be presented to the attendant at the Waste Transfer Stations (WTS) and Waste Disposal Grounds (WDG).  Each household will receive one (1) permit free of charge. The permits are to be used only by the owner(s)/occupant(s) of the corresponding household to which the permit is assigned.  Residents are able to purchase additional permits at the Municipal Office at a cost of $10.00 per permit.

Effective August 1, 2020, if a resident attends the WTS/WDG and does not have the Refuse Permit with them, the resident will be required to pay non-resident surcharge.
