Barrhead Dump Hours
The Barrhead dump is open to the public during the following hours:
- Monday: 1 pm – 7 pm
- Tuesday: 1 pm – 7 pm
- Wednesday: 1 pm – 7 pm
- Thursday: 1 pm – 7 pm
- Sunday: 1 pm – 7 pm
The dump is closed on Fridays, Saturdays, New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day.
Barrhead Dump Location
The Barrhead dump is located at 60009 RR 43, Barrhead, AB T7N 1A2. It is situated 4 miles west of Town (Hwy. 18) and then 2-1/4 miles north (RR 43 and North of Twp. 600).
Materials Accepted at the Barrhead Dump
The Barrhead dump accepts a wide variety of materials, including:
- Household garbage
- Electronics
- Propane bottles
- Empty plastic oil jugs
- Oil filters
- Tires
- Metals (all types)
- Burnables
- Appliances
- Empty paint cans
Please note that some materials are not accepted at the Barrhead dump. These materials include:
- Demolition materials (including concrete, shingles, drywall, fill, etc.)
- Non-burnable materials (including treated lumber, furniture, plastics, etc.)
- Chemical containers
- Used oil

Fees for Using the Barrhead Dump
There is no charge for residential waste disposal at the Barrhead dump. However, there are fees for disposing of certain materials, such as:
- Demolition materials: $35.00 per load or part of
- Dump trailers: $55.00 per load or part of
- Large trucks (one ton & up): $65.00 per load or part of
- Tandem trucks: $95.00 per load or part of
- End dumps: $155.00 per load or part of
