Landfill Fees and Regulations
- Convenience site locations are closed: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day.
- No more than four tires per individual every 6 months can be disposed of per state regulations. State law requires that a record be kept of tires received.
- Large quantities of tires can be received at the Felts Road Landfill for a fee of $1.50-$5 per tire, depending on the size.
- Commercial businesses with tire tax numbers may bring tires to the trailer at Snow Hill, McMinnville Highway, or Felts Road Landfill.
Additional Information
- The DeKalb County Transfer Station rents 30 cubic yard open top containers for cleanup and construction projects.
- The cost of this service is $200 for a one-time delivery of the container, which includes one pickup and disposal at $80 per ton of debris.
- Containers may be kept for up to two weeks only. There is a $100 late fee per week after the initial two weeks.
