RRDD1 Transfer Station Hours of Operation
The RRDD1 Transfer Station is open to the public during the following hours:

On Wednesday evenings from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, the transfer station offers limited access. During these hours, residents without an RRDD1 sticker may drop off recyclables only. However, to dispose of household kitchen trash on Wednesday nights, an RRDD1 permit is required.
Sticker Requirements
As a resident of Barkhamsted, New Hartford, or Winsted/Winchester, you have the option to hire a private contractor for waste and recycling removal or save money by transporting your materials to RRDD1. If you choose to use the transfer station, you will need to purchase stickers (membership) at the entrance gatehouse during regular daytime hours (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM). New stickers are required by July 1st of each year.
