Convenience Center Locations and Hours
Bedford County operates eight recycling and convenience centers conveniently located throughout the county. The hours of operation for each center are as follows:

Accepted Recyclables
The Bedford County recycling and convenience centers accept a wide range of recyclable materials, including:
- Aluminum cans
- Oil
- Newspaper
- Batteries
- Scrap metal
- Cardboard
- TVs (El Bethel center only)
Tire Collection Center
In addition to the recycling and convenience centers, Bedford County also operates a tire collection center located at 816 State Route 82 South, Shelbyville. The tire collection center is open on Wednesdays from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and accepts tires without rims for a $2 charge per tire. Heavy equipment tires are not accepted.
