Bentley Dump Hours
The Bentley Transfer Site is open to the public during the following hours:
- Thursday & Friday: 9:00 am – 4:45 pm
- Saturday: 1:00 pm – 4:45 pm
Please note that the site is closed on the following statutory holidays:
- New Year’s Day
- Family Day
- Good Friday
- Easter Monday
- Remembrance Day
- Victoria Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Canada Day
- Christmas Day
- Boxing Day
- Civic Day
- Labour Day
- Christmas Floater (December 27 for 2024)
Accepted Waste Types
The Bentley Transfer Site accepts a wide range of residential waste, including:
- Household Waste (compactor)
- Wood, metal, and dry rubble (quantities less than 499 kg)
- Batteries, propane tanks, and automotive filters
- Empty oil containers
- Mattresses/Boxsprings
Prohibited Waste
The Bentley Transfer Site does not accept the following items:
- White goods, wood, metal, or dry rubble in quantities over 499 kg
- Used oil, appliances, liquid paint, carcasses, bio-medical waste, asphalt shingles, grain, seeds, manure, feed, asbestos, explosives, hot burn barrels, radioactive material
- Any waste that in the judgment of the site operator should be rejected due to unknown content, type of material, etc.
Proof of Residency
To access the Bentley Transfer Site, you will need to provide proof of residency within the County of Lacombe. Acceptable forms of proof include:
- Utility bill
- Lacombe County property tax notice
- Driver’s license with a physical/mailing address
Please note that the following mailing addresses are not acceptable as proof of residency:
- Blackfalds PO Box # (require physical address)
- Eckville PO Box # (require physical address)
- Alix PO Box # (require physical address)
- RR#3 Lacombe (require physical address)
- RR#1, 3, & 4 Eckville (require physical address)
Fees
There is no charge for any waste disposed of at the Bentley Transfer Site for quantities less than 499 kg. However, loads over 499 kg must be taken to the Prentiss Transfer Site.
