Are you in need of waste disposal services in Blount County? Look no further than the Alcoa/Maryville/Blount County Sanitary Landfill. This facility is open six days a week, Monday through Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. Please note that the landfill is closed on New Year’s Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Landfill Fees

As of July 1, 2023, the landfill tipping fees are as follows:

  • Minimum Tipping Fee (500 pounds or less): $14.50
  • Tipping Fee (MSW/Construction/Demolition): $58 per ton for Class I and Demo
  • Special Waste: $63 per ton

Landfill Permit Application

Recycling Drop-Off Center

In addition to waste disposal services, the Alcoa/Maryville/Blount County Sanitary Landfill also operates a recycling drop-off center. The following materials are accepted at the drop-off center:

  • Electronics/E-scrap
  • Scrap Metal
  • Used Tires

Hazardous Materials Information

Household Hazardous Waste

The Blount County Solid Waste Department also offers a household hazardous waste collection program. This program allows residents to dispose of household hazardous waste, such as paint, batteries, and cleaning products, safely and properly.
