Bulky Trash Drop-Off

Bridgewater Township offers two bulky trash drop-off events in 2023:

  • Saturday, September 16th, 2023
  • Saturday, September 23rd, 2023

Both events will take place from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM at 15 Polhemus Lane, Bridgewater, NJ 08807.

Yard Waste Site

The Bridgewater Yard Waste Site is located at 136 Foothill Road, Bridgewater, NJ. It accepts the following items:

  • Brush
  • Leaves
  • Grass
  • Woodchips
  • Logs (12 inches or less in diameter and three feet or less in length)

Hours of Operation:

Winter Operating Hours (January 15th through March 15th):

  • Monday through Friday: 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM
  • Closed Saturdays and Sundays

Normal Operating Hours (January 2nd through January 13th and March 16th through December 31st):

  • Monday through Friday: 7:30 AM to 3:45 PM
  • Saturdays: 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM
  • Closed Sundays

Holiday Closures:

  • New Year’s Day – January 1
  • Martin Luther King Day – January 15
  • Memorial Day – May 27
  • Independence Day – July 4
  • Labor Day – August 31 & September 2
  • Thanksgiving – November 28-30
  • Christmas – December 25
  • New Year’s Day – January 1, 2025

Additional Information

  • Drop-off services are free to Bridgewater residents.
  • All residents must show proof of residency before dumping.
  • Contractors and commercial operators may use the site for a fee.
  • Residents are allowed one commercial or rental vehicle (6 cubic yards max) to drop off yard waste for free twice a year with a permit from the Superintendent of Public Works.
  • Topsoil and Mulch are available for purchase at the Yard Waste Site.
