If you’re looking to dispose of waste in Broward County, you’ll need to know the hours of operation for the county dump. The Broward County Landfill is located at 7101 SW 205th Avenue in unincorporated Broward County.

Hours of Operation

The Broward County Landfill is open Monday through Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The landfill is closed on Sundays and holidays.

What to Bring

When you visit the Broward County Landfill, you’ll need to bring a valid driver’s license. You’ll also need to pay a disposal fee. The disposal fee varies depending on the type of waste you’re disposing of.

What Not to Bring

The Broward County Landfill does not accept the following types of waste:

• Hazardous waste
• Biomedical waste
• Lead-acid batteries
• Used oil
• Liquid waste
• Waste containing polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs)

Fees

The disposal fees at the Broward County Landfill are as follows:

• Bulk Waste: $85.00 per ton, $10 minimum
• Construction / Demolition Material: $85.00 per ton, $10 minimum
• Yard Trash: $50.00 per ton, $10 minimum
• Tires (rims less than 25 inches in diameter): $130.00 per ton
• Boats and Trailers, or Other Trailers: $10.00 per foot
• Mobile Homes: $10.00 per foot
• Pickup Trucks: Charged per ton ($10 minimum)
• Waste Delivered by Residential Customers in Passenger Vehicles: $10.00 per vehicle
• Weighing/Certifying Fee: $6.00 per official weight
• Additional Service Hours: Actual Cost plus 50%
• Duplication of Weigh Tickets: $3.00 per ticket
• Delinquent Fee (authorized credit accounts only): 1.5% per month of delinquent amount due
• Dishonored Checks (authorized credit accounts only): $25 on checks up to $49.99; $30 on checks between $50.00 and $299.99; $40 or 5% (whichever is greater) on checks $300.00 and above.
• Reinstatement of Charge Privileges: $150 for Non-payment and Insufficient Security Deposit

Pre-Authorization for Mobile Home Disposal

If you’re planning to dispose of a mobile home at the Broward County Landfill, you’ll need to obtain pre-authorization. To obtain pre-authorization, you’ll need to provide certified (signed and sealed) documentation from a Florida Licensed Asbestos Consultant verifying that the mobile home does not contain regulated asbestos containing materials (RACM). Once the documentation has been reviewed and approved by Broward County Landfill management, you’ll be able to dispose of the mobile home at the rate established in the current fee schedule.
