The Cavendish Transfer Station is a convenient and affordable option for waste disposal. Here’s everything you need to know about the Cavendish Dump, including hours of operation, fees, and acceptable materials.

Cavendish Dump Hours of Operation

The Cavendish Transfer Station is open to the public during the following hours:

  • Wednesdays: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Saturdays: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Sundays: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Please note that the dump is closed on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, and major holidays.

Fees

The Cavendish Transfer Station uses a token system for payment. Tokens can be purchased at the following locations:

  • Cavendish Town Office
  • Singleton’s Store
  • Transfer Station

Tokens are available in $1.50 and $3.00 denominations. The cost to dispose of trash and recyclables is as follows:

  • Household waste in a 15-gallon bag: $1.50 per bag
  • Household waste in a 30-gallon bag: $3.00 per bag
  • Single-stream recyclables: Free

The Cavendish Transfer Station accepts the following materials:

Please note that there are some restrictions on the types of materials that can be disposed of at the transfer station.
