Yukon Transfer Station Hours
The Yukon Transfer Station is open to residents of Yukon one time per calendar month at no charge. The hours of operation are:
- Monday through Friday: 8 am to 4 pm
- Saturday: 10 am to 4 pm
- Sunday: Closed
Yukon Recycle Center Hours
The Yukon Recycle Center is open to the public during the following hours:
- Monday through Friday: 8 am to 4 pm
- Saturday: 10 am to 4 pm
- Sunday: Closed
Fees
For non-residents or residents who exceed their free monthly dump, the following fees apply:
- Items contained within a passenger automobile or within the level bed of a pickup: $10
- Items contained within a 12-foot trailer: $25
- Items contained within a 12-foot trailer and less than 18 feet in length: $45
- All items that fall outside the above-listed parameters: $8.50 per cubic yard
- Tires (no agricultural or off-road tires and nothing larger than 25 inches):
- 16.5-inches and below: $5 per tire
- 17-19.5 inches: $10 per tire
- 20-25 inches: $15 per tire
- Disclosed batteries: $5 per battery
- Television (cathode ray tube type – CRT): $20 per television
- Computer monitor (cathode ray tube type – CRT): $10 per monitor
- Appliance with refrigerants (chlorofluorocarbon (CFC)): $25 per appliance
Acceptable Materials
The Yukon Transfer Station and Recycle Center accept a wide range of materials, including:
- Household trash
- Yard waste
- Rubbish
- Recyclables (paper, plastic, metal, glass)
- Tires
- Batteries
- Televisions
- Computer monitors
- Appliances with refrigerants
Unacceptable Materials
The following materials are not accepted at the Yukon Transfer Station or Recycle Center:
- Hazardous waste
- Medical waste
- Radioactive waste
- Explosives
- Flammable liquids
- Corrosive materials
Additional Information
- To utilize your free monthly dump at the Transfer Station, you must present your driver’s license and current month Yukon municipal utility bill. The driver’s license name and/or address must match the address on the utility bill.
- The Transfer Station is available for the disposal of household trash, yard waste, and rubbish by persons residing within the city limits one time per calendar month at no charge. The disposal amount is limited to no larger than a level pickup bed.
- The Recycle Center accepts a variety of recyclable materials, including paper, plastic, metal, and glass.
