McCommas Bluff Landfill

The McCommas Bluff Landfill is the primary landfill serving the city of Dallas. It is located at 5100 Youngblood Road and is open to both commercial and residential customers.

Hours of Operation:

• Monday – Friday: 5 a.m. – 8 p.m.
• Saturday: 6 a.m. – 4 p.m.
• Sunday: Closed

Accepted Materials:

• Commercial waste
• Household waste
• Municipal waste
• Grass clippings/brush
• Appliances (refrigerants removed, if applicable)
• Furniture
• Tires (limit 6 per year from Dallas residents, not exceeding 25 inches in diameter)

Fees:

• Commercial customers:
  • Gate Rate: $38.80 per ton
  • Environmental Fee: $2 per ton
  • Processing Fee: $2 per ton
  • Uncovered Loads: $40 per load
• Residential customers: No charge for Dallas residents in passenger cars, station wagons, pickups, and trailers less than 15 feet long hauling their own waste from their residences.

Transfer Stations

In addition to the McCommas Bluff Landfill, Dallas also has three transfer stations located throughout the city. These transfer stations are open to Dallas residents and small commercial customers only.

• Northwest (Bachman) Transfer Station:
  • Monday – Saturday: 7 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Sunday: Closed
• Northeast (Fair Oaks) Transfer Station:
  • Monday – Friday: 7 a.m. – 9 a.m.
  • Saturday: 7 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Sunday: Closed
• Southwest (Westmoreland) Transfer Station:
  • Monday – Friday: 7 a.m. – 9 a.m.
  • Saturday: 7 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Sunday: Closed

Accepted Materials:

• Recyclables
• Electronics (residents only)
• Grass clippings/brush
• Scrap metal
• Household waste
• Furniture
• Tires (limit 6 per year from Dallas residents, not exceeding 25 inches in diameter)

Fees:

• No charge for Dallas residents.

Additional Information

• All loads with loose materials must be covered to prevent spillage.
