The Elmwood dump accepts a wide range of waste materials, with varying fees associated with each type:

  • Appliances without refrigerant: $10 each
  • Household waste sorted: $140 per tonne
  • Household waste unsorted: $240 per tonne

  • After hours access (per visit): $150

  • Hot loads (smoldering wood or ashes)
  • Ammunition, flares, and explosives
  • Agricultural waste

Additional Information

  • Payment is accepted by cash or cheque with photo identification.
  • Bag tags are not accepted as payment, but you can purchase them on-site for your curbside waste collection.
  • Contractors must fill out the Contractor Waste Site Authorization Form.
  • Loads will be inspected, so please sort before arrival.
  • Trailers must be secured per HTA requirements (covered or tied down).
  • Abusive or aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated. The municipality reserves the right to refuse service.
