Ennis Dump Hours: Everything You Need to Know
If you’re a resident of Ennis, Texas, it’s important to be aware of the local dump hours and regulations. The Ennis dump, officially known as the Ellis County Disposal (ECD) Landfill, is located at 5703 N I-45, Ennis, TX 75119.
Dump Hours
The ECD Landfill is open to the public on the following days and times:
- Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Saturday: 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM
- Sunday: Closed
Fees
The ECD Landfill charges a fee for dumping waste. The fees are based on the type and quantity of waste being disposed of. For more information on fees, please call the landfill at (972) 875-1906.
Accepted Items
The ECD Landfill accepts a wide variety of waste materials, including:
- Household waste
- Construction and demolition debris
- Yard waste
- Tires
- Appliances
- Electronics
Prohibited Items
The ECD Landfill does not accept the following items:
- Hazardous waste
- Medical waste
- Radioactive waste
- Explosives
- Flammable liquids
- Corrosive materials
Free Disposal Days
The ECD Landfill offers free disposal days to Ennis residents on the first and third Saturday of each month. On these days, residents can bring up to two cubic yards of waste to the landfill for free. Proof of residency is required.
Additional Information
- The ECD Landfill requires all visitors to wear a hard hat and safety vest when dumping waste. If you do not have these items, you can purchase them from the Scale House.
- The ECD Landfill is closed on the following holidays:
- New Year’s Day
- Martin Luther King Jr. Day
- Good Friday
- Memorial Day
- Juneteenth
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Veteran’s Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Day-After Thanksgiving
- Christmas Eve
- Christmas Day
