Acceptable Materials

The Floresville City Dump accepts a wide range of household and yard waste, including:

• Bulk Trash: Furniture, mattresses, appliances (without refrigerant), carpeting, fencing, etc.
• Brush: Shrubs, tree branches, woody vines, etc.
• Construction Debris: Wood and construction debris (excluding shingles)

Unacceptable Materials

Please note that the following materials are not accepted at the Floresville City Dump:

• Household trash
• Hazardous materials (paints, household cleaners)
• Compressed gas tanks
• Tires
• Televisions
• Computers
• Medical waste
• Appliances with refrigerant that has not been removed and certified

Guidelines for Drop-Off

To ensure a smooth and efficient drop-off experience, please follow these guidelines:

• Proof of Residency: You will need to provide a recent water bill and ID to establish proof of residency.
• Bulk Trash Limit: There is a 3 cubic-yard limit for bulk trash. Any amount over 3 cubic yards will not be accepted.
• Placement: Place your items within eight feet of the curb. Do not block parked cars, fences, trees, mailboxes, overhead wires, low-hanging tree limbs, or gas/water meters.
• Timing: Set out your items no later than 7:00 a.m. on the first day of your scheduled collection week. Do not place materials at the curb after crews have passed by your house.

Bulk Trash & Brush Pickups

The Floresville City Dump also offers biannual bulk trash and brush pickups. The next scheduled pickup is for the week of December 4, 2023.

Guidelines for Bulk Trash & Brush Pickups:

• Place your items on the curbside no later than 7:00 a.m. on Monday, December 4, 2023.
• There is a 3 cubic-yard limit for bulk trash and brush combined.
• Follow the same placement guidelines as for regular drop-offs.
• Do not place items on the curb after crews have passed by your house.

Brush Pickup

Brush pickup occurs twice a year, with designated months based on your regular trash service route. Place brush on the curbside no earlier than the second Monday of the designated month.

Scheduling Brush Pickup:

• Call (830) 393-3105 to be placed on the brush list for pickup.
• Pickup typically begins on the third Monday of the designated month.
