Household Hazardous Waste Disposal
Franklin County residents can dispose of household hazardous waste free of charge at the Franklin County Landfill during normal operating hours. Accepted items include:

- Antifreeze and brake fluid
- Household cleaning fluids
- Pool chemicals
- Pesticides
- Propane tanks
Recycling Program
Franklin County offers a recycling program for aluminum cans and cardboard boxes. You can drop off these materials at the Franklin County Landfill.
Additional Information
- All debris delivered to the landfill must be completely enclosed and secured to the vehicle by a tarpaulin or similar material. An uncovered debris disposal fee of $10.00 will be assessed per load.
