Franklin County Landfill

Tipping Fees
The landfill charges tipping fees for commercial waste and construction waste. The fees are as follows:
- Commercial waste: $50 per ton
- Construction waste: $50 per ton
- Construction demolition waste (brought in by homeowners on their own vehicle): No charge
- New construction debris and shingles: $50 per ton for everyone
Tire Disposal Fees
The landfill also charges fees for tire disposal. The fees are as follows:
- ATV, lawn mower, or motorcycle tires: $1 per tire
- Passenger car/light truck tires: $4 per tire
- Tires used for a semi-truck or trailer having a gross weight of 15,000 pounds or more and manufactured for larger vehicles or commercial use: $5 per tire
- Construction or heavy equipment tires, as well as large tractor tires over 20 inches: $10 per tire
Note: If rims are included on tires, there will be an extra charge of $3.00 per tire.

All brush debris or large bulk items should be brought to the Franklin County Landfill for disposal.

The Franklin Transfer Station is another waste disposal facility in Franklin, VA. It is located at:
