Gallatin City Dump Hours
The Gallatin City Dump, officially known as the Resource Authority in Sumner County, is located at 625 Rappahannock Wire Rd., Gallatin, TN 37066. Its hours of operation are as follows:
- Monday-Friday: 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Saturday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Sunday: Closed
Please note that the dump is closed on major holidays.
Acceptable Waste Types
The Gallatin City Dump accepts a wide range of waste materials, including:

Fees
The Gallatin City Dump charges fees for waste disposal based on the type and weight of the waste. The current fees are as follows:

- Mixed Loads of Trash and Tree & Yard Waste: $60 per ton with an $8 minimum
- Mixed Loads of Trash and Tires: $125 per ton with an $8 minimum
- Manifested Tires: $55 per ton (Sumner County only)
- Non-Manifested Tire Loads (Sumner County only): $125 per ton
- Used Batteries and Electronic Waste: $60 per ton
Note: You must be unloaded and out by closing time, or the rate will be $70 per ton. Please be weighed in at least 30 minutes before the posted closing time to ensure you have enough time to unload.
Prohibited Items
The Gallatin City Dump does not accept the following items:
- Hazardous waste (e.g., paint, chemicals, batteries)
- Medical waste
- Radioactive waste
- Explosives
- Asbestos
Recycling Information
In addition to waste disposal, the Gallatin City Dump also offers recycling services. Acceptable recyclable materials include:
