Grassland Dump Hours
The Grassland Dump is open to the public during the following hours:
- Monday – Friday: 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Saturday – Sunday: 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Please note that the Grassland Dump is closed on the following holidays:
- New Year’s Day
- Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
- Presidents’ Day
- Easter Sunday
- Memorial Day
- Juneteenth
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Veteran’s Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- December 23rd (closes early at 3 PM)
- Christmas Eve
- Christmas Day

Accepted Materials at the Grassland Dump
The Grassland Dump accepts a wide range of residential waste materials, including:
- Household garbage
- Residential brush
- Residential construction & demolition waste
- Residential metal
- Residential cans
- Residential aluminum
- Residential plastics #1 & #2 only (NO plastic bags, please)
- Residential glass
- Residential paper
- Residential cardboard
- Residential used motor oil
- Residential used cooking oil
Special Waste Accepted at the Grassland Dump
In addition to the regular waste materials, the Grassland Dump also accepts the following special waste items:
- Residential automotive batteries
- Residential latex-based paint
- Residential anti-freeze
- Residential automotive tires (limit: 6 per household per day)
Fees for Using the Grassland Dump
There are no fees for using the Grassland Dump for residential waste disposal. However, there may be fees for disposing of certain special waste items, such as automotive tires. Please contact the Williamson County Solid Waste Management department for more information on fees.
Tips for Using the Grassland Dump
