  • Wednesday: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
  • Saturday: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Sunday: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM

• Winter Hours (September 16th – May 14th)

Landfill Tipping Fees

The Hilton Beach dump charges tipping fees for certain types of waste. These fees are as follows:

Note: Free tipping fee weekend is the long weekend in May during regular landfill hours.

Prohibited Garbage at the Landfill

The following items are not accepted at the Hilton Beach dump:

• Hazardous Waste
• Styrofoam
• Coffee cups
• Diapers
• Toys (plastic or other)
• Ceramics, dishes or window glass
• Hazardous waste, syringes or medicines
• Plastic pails with metal handles
• Oil or antifreeze jugs

Recycling at the Landfill

The Hilton Beach dump also offers recycling services. The following items can be recycled at the dump:

• Food, beverage and other metal cans – empty and rinse
• NO Glass food and beverage bottles/jars
• Aluminum foil wrap and trays – rinse and crumple
• All rigid plastic containers – Plastic containers coded 1 – 6 only rigid food, beverage, personal, pet care and detergent containers – remove plastic caps and lids; empty and rinse
• Milk and juice cartons and juice boxes – remove plastic caps, straws; empty and flatten; picked up with commingle
• Newspapers, inserts, magazines, phone books, paperbacks, hardcover books and household print paper – bundle together
• Cardboard boxes – flatten and bundle; no waxed, heavily coated, oily or soiled cardboard allowed
• Boxboard single-layered boxes including cereal, tissue, detergent, cardboard egg cartons – remove liners and flatten
