The Ixonia Transfer Site is open to Ixonia and Concord residents for waste disposal and recycling. The hours of operation are:

• Saturday: 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM
• Wednesday: 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM

What You Can Bring to the Ixonia Dump

The Ixonia Transfer Site accepts a wide range of waste and recyclables, including:

• Garbage: $7.00 minimum and $1.00/additional 30-gallon bag
• Recyclables: $3.00 minimum for any combination of the following:
  • Glass bottles and jars (rinsed and caps removed)
  • Plastic containers #1 – #7 (must be loose/no #2 oil containers)
  • Plastic bags (clean and dry)
  • Tin and bi-metal cans (rinsed)
  • Aluminum cans (drained)
  • Cartons (rinsed)
  • Cardboard (flattened)
  • Newspaper (loose or in paper bags only)
  • Magazines, catalogs, phone books, office paper (loose)
  • Oil (not contaminated with gas, fuel, oil, anti-freeze, etc.)
  • Oil filters (drained)
  • Anti-freeze (not contaminated with other fluids)
  • Appliances (without Freon)
  • Any item with an electrical cord
  • Scrap iron/steel (remove all wood, rubber, plastic, etc.)
  • Textiles and shoes
  • Bicycles
  • Lead acid batteries
  • Electronic waste (printers, copiers, DVD players, VCRs, fax machines, hard drives, etc.)

Special Fees for Certain Items

Some items require special fees, including:

• Appliances with Freon: $7.00/unit
• Electronic waste:
  • Computer monitors: $5.00
  • TVs over 27″: $20.00
  • TVs 27″ and under: $10.00
• Brush/yard waste: $1.50/paper leaf bag or $15.00/cubic yard
• Mattresses/box springs: $20.00 for King & Queen, $12.00 for all others
• Carpet/foam padding: $25.00/cubic yard
• Sectionals/sleepers: $30.00
• Sofas, large: $20.00
• Sofas, small/chairs: $10.00
• Tires:
  • Car: $3.00
  • Light truck: $5.00
  • Semi truck: $10.00
  • Tractor: $25.00
  • Heavy-duty equipment: $50.00
  • With rims: $2.00 extra
• Riding lawnmowers with wheels on: $20.00
• Construction debris: $25.00 minimum, $25.00/additional cubic yard
• Spas: $65.00

What You Cannot Bring to the Ixonia Dump

The Ixonia Transfer Site does not accept the following items:

• Commercial waste
• Hazardous waste
• Railroad ties
• Concrete
• LP gas bottles
• Gas cans with any fluids
• Oil-based paints/stains/varnishes
• Pharmaceuticals
