Lancaster Township Woody Waste Facility Hours
The Lancaster Township Woody Waste Facility is located at 1240 Maple Avenue, Lancaster, PA 17603. It accepts yard waste and natural wood from Lancaster Township residents only.
The facility’s hours vary depending on the time of year:
April 1st – May 23rd:

In addition to the Woody Waste Facility, Lancaster Township also offers curbside yard waste collection services. These services are available from April through October, and the collection schedule is as follows:
- Yard waste is collected every other week on your regular collection day.
- Place bags or bundles at the curb the night before your collection day.
- Yard waste must be placed in bio-bags or bundled with biodegradable twine.
- Grass clippings are not accepted in curbside yard waste collection.

- Access to the Woody Waste Facility is one-way only via the Elm Avenue service road located behind the Giant Store at Stone Mill Plaza.
- All traffic must exit via Columbia Avenue (eastbound; right turn only).
- Service is for Lancaster Township residents ONLY—have ID ready for the gate attendant.
- No commercial landscapers (work-for-hire individuals) are allowed.
- Severe weather events may cause the closure of the facility.
- Absolutely no dumping of woody waste outside of the entrance gate. The area is under video surveillance; violators will be cited.
