Lehman Township Dump Hours and Recycling Information

Lehman Township offers convenient recycling and waste disposal services to its residents. The Recycling Center is located at 1183 Old Route 115, Dallas, PA 18612.

Recycling Center Hours

• Monday: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM
• Wednesday: 1:00 PM – 7:00 PM
• Friday: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM
• 2nd & 4th Saturday of every month: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Accepted Materials

The Recycling Center accepts the following materials:

• Clean aluminum cans
• Clean steel cans
• Clean tin cans
• Clean plastic #1-#2
• Clean newspaper, office paper, magazines
• Clean cardboard that is broken down
• Clean brown paper bags

Non-Accepted Materials

The Recycling Center does not accept the following materials:

• Glass of any kind
• Plastic bags of any kind
• Food-stained containers
• Aerosol cans
• Styrofoam of any kind
• Paper towels or napkins
• Chip, candy, or any other wrapper
• Ceramic glass, dishware, drinking glasses, bulbs, mirrors, or window glass
• Shredded paper or paper to-go containers, waxed paper, waxed cardboard, or frozen drink/food containers
• Hazardous or medical waste
• Any items not indicated on the “accepted items” list at the recycling center

Permits

Residents of Lehman Township and nearby towns are welcome to use the Recycling Center. However, everyone needs a permit. Permits are free for residents and $75 for non-residents. To obtain a permit, you can either bring the completed Permit Application to the Recycling Center or fill out the application there. You will need to provide proof of residency, such as a tax bill, rent receipt, or driver’s license.

Clean-up Days

In addition to the Recycling Center, Lehman Township also holds Clean-up Days on select Saturdays throughout the year. These events provide residents with an opportunity to dispose of large items, such as furniture, appliances, and electronics.

2023 Clean-up Days:

• June 3 & 17
• July 15 & 29
• August 12 & 26
• September 9 & 23

Hours: 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Location: Lehman Township Municipal Building, 1183 Old Route 115, Dallas, PA 18612

Fees:

• U-Haul/X-tra Large Trailers (tandem axle) 10-14 ft: First visit free, additional $100 per visit
• U-Haul 6-9 feet or Large Utility Trailer 8’ (one axle): First visit free, additional $50 per visit

Not Accepted:

• Household garbage
• Automobiles or boats
• Hazardous materials (pesticides, herbicides, chlorine, etc.)
• Refrigerators and freezers must be empty
