Lloydminster Dump Hours
The Lloydminster Sanitary Landfill is located at 40 Avenue, approximately 3.5 km north of 44 Street on the east side of the road. The landfill’s hours of operation vary depending on the season:
Winter Hours (October 1 – April 30):
- Monday to Friday: 8 am – 5 pm
- Saturday: 9 am – 5 pm
- Sunday: CLOSED
- Holidays: CLOSED
Summer Hours (May 1 – September 30):
- Monday: 8 am – 7 pm
- Tuesday – Friday: 8 am – 5 pm
- Saturday: 9 am – 5 pm
- Sunday: 12-5 pm
- Holidays: CLOSED
Holiday Hours of Operation:
- December 24 – Open regular hours
- December 25 – Closed
- December 26 – Closed
- December 27-30 – Open regular hours
- January 1 – Closed
- January 2 – Open regular hours
Accepted Materials
The Lloydminster Sanitary Landfill accepts a wide range of materials, including:
- Household waste
- Straw
- Household Furniture
- Stucco
- Glass
- Concrete
- Gypsum Wall Board
- Trees/Tree Branches (Maximum of 2 feet in length and diameter)
- Fiberglass Insulation
- Shingles and Asphalt
- Yard and Garden Waste
- Clean Fill
- Septic Waste
Accepted Recyclable Items
In addition to regular waste, the landfill also accepts the following recyclable items:
- Used Oil and Paint Cans
- Oil and Oil Filters (Maximum 5 gallons)
- Electronics
- Tires
- Clean Concrete
- Scrap Metal
- Appliances
- Batteries
Unacceptable Waste
The following items are not accepted at the Lloydminster Sanitary Landfill:
- Hazardous Material
- Flammable Items
- Herbicide/Pesticide Containers
- Contaminated Oilfield Waste
- Explosives
- Compressed Gas/Air Cylinders
- Biomedical Waste
- Paint Thinner/Varsol
- Car Bodies
Guidelines for Transporting Materials
When transporting materials to the landfill, please follow these guidelines:
- Ensure that the materials are covered and securely tied when transporting using a vehicle. Any unsecured load may be charged a fine.
- Ensure metals are separated on from other loads.

- Proof of in-town residence is required for free disposal of in-town residential wastes.
- The landfill offers a Landfill Account Application Form for businesses and individuals who need regular waste disposal services.
