The mini dump is open six days a week, with the following hours:
- Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 Noon
The mini dump is closed on Sundays, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, and Christmas Day.
Resident Requirements
To access the mini dump facility, you must provide proof of City of Miami residency. Acceptable forms of proof include:
- Florida Driver’s license or Florida ID
- Utility statements for the last 3 months (e.g., electricity, cell phone, water, or trash compactor bill)

Acceptable Items
The mini dump accepts a wide range of bulky items and yard trash, including:
- Household furniture: Bed frames, dressers, dining tables, chairs, sofas, mattresses, large empty boxes, etc.
- Household electronics: Computer monitors, printers, scanners, fax machines, keyboards, laptops, TVs, VCR & DVD players, cellular phones, small kitchen appliances (e.g., toasters, toaster ovens, blenders, mixers), etc.
- White goods: Refrigerators, stoves, microwaves, dishwashers, etc.
- Clean yard trash: Tree cuttings, yard clippings, shrubbery and hedge trimmings, leaves and grass (bagged)
Prohibited Items
The mini dump does not accept the following items:
- Household garbage (e.g., kitchen garbage, plastic containers, aluminum, steel, glass food containers)
- Construction & demolition debris (e.g., roofing materials, drywall, sand, rocks, metal fences, patio decks, remodeling debris)
- Hazardous waste (e.g., cylinders, propane and oxygen tanks, flammables, chemicals, pesticides, incandescent and fluorescent light bulbs, dry cell batteries, lead acid batteries)
- Paint containers (e.g., household and commercial paint, paint containers, paint removers, paint brushes, rollers and equipment)
- Automobile parts (e.g., tires, window or auto glass, vehicle batteries, engine oil, radiator fluid, gasoline tanks, cylinders and drums, auto engines, vehicle parts, vehicle tire rims)
Guidelines for Use
- You are allowed a maximum of one trip per day to the mini dump.
- Each trip should not exceed a pickup truck load.
- Commercial vehicles, dump-type or panel-type trucks, and materials from commercial contractors are not allowed.
- Please segregate your waste into the designated areas for bulky items and yard trash.
- Follow the instructions of the staff at the mini dump facility.
