When you need to dispose of trash in Moore County, North Carolina, it’s important to know the hours of operation for the county’s trash dump. The Moore County Landfill is located at 456 Turning Leaf Way in Aberdeen, and it is open to the public Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4 pm and Saturday from 7 am to noon.

In addition to the landfill, Moore County also has seven compactor sites located throughout the county. These sites are open Monday through Saturday from 7 am to 7 pm. The compactor sites are located at:

  • Eagle Springs: 364 Eagle Springs Road, Eagle Springs

What is accepted at the Moore County Landfill?

The Moore County Landfill accepts the following items:

  • Household trash
  • Construction and demolition debris

What is not accepted at the Moore County Landfill?

The Moore County Landfill does not accept the following items:

Fees

There is a fee to dispose of trash at the Moore County Landfill. The fee is based on the weight of the trash. The current fee schedule is as follows:

  • Up to 500 pounds: $25
  • 501 to 1,000 pounds: $50
  • 1,001 to 2,000 pounds: $75
  • Over 2,000 pounds: $100
