Free Dump Days
The City of Muskogee sponsors seven free dump days each year. On these days, Muskogee residents can dispose of household waste, appliances, furniture, and other items at the Muskogee Landfill for free.
2024 Free Dump Days:
- March 20-23
- June 8
- August 3
- October 12
To take advantage of the Free Dump Days, you must:
- Be a Muskogee resident
- Show a current water bill and valid driver’s license
- Each resident is allowed one truck &/or 16 ft. trailer load
Brush & Limb Drop-Off Site
The City of Muskogee also maintains a Brush & Limb Drop-Off Site at 40th & Denver. This site is open on Free Dump Days and after major storm damage. Residents can dispose of brush, limbs, and other yard waste at this site.
NO STUMPS ALLOWED at the Brush & Limb Drop-Off but CAN be taken to the Landfill at no charge on Free Dump Days.
To use the Brush & Limb Drop-Off Site, you must:
- Present a current Water Bill and a current Picture ID to the attendant at the entrance
- Hours are 7 am – 3 pm
Landfill Hours
The Muskogee Landfill is located at 2801 S. 54th Street. The landfill is open to the public Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm and Saturday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Fees and Restrictions
There are no fees to dispose of household waste, appliances, furniture, or other items at the Muskogee Landfill on Free Dump Days. However, there are fees for disposing of certain items, such as:
- Tires: $5 per tire
- Batteries: $5 per battery
- Electronics: $10 per item
- Construction and demolition debris: $20 per cubic yard

Additional Tips
- If you have a large amount of waste to dispose of, it is best to rent a dumpster. Dumpsters can be rented from local waste management companies.
- If you are unsure whether an item can be disposed of at the landfill, please call the landfill at 918-684-6333.
- The landfill does not accept hazardous waste. Hazardous waste can be disposed of at the Household Pollutant Collection Event. The next Household Pollutant Collection Event will be held on June 8, 2024, from 9 am to 3 pm at the City Material Yard at 1503 S. Cherokee.
