If you’re looking to dispose of waste in Oakridge, Tennessee, you have a few options. The Waste Connections Convenience Center is open Wednesday through Saturday from 7:30 am to 6 pm, and Sunday from 1 pm to 6 pm. It is closed on Monday and Tuesday.

The Oakridge Transfer Station is open Wednesday through Saturday from 8 am to 6 pm. It is closed on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.

Both facilities accept a variety of waste materials, including:

• Household trash
• Recyclables
• Yard waste
• Automotive oil
• Antifreeze
• Lead-acid batteries

Hazardous materials are not accepted at either facility.

Waste Connections Convenience Center

In addition to the above hours, the Convenience Center also offers annual pickup programs for household trash, brush, and leaves.

• Household trash pickup: Scheduled bi-annually during the fall and spring. One pickup truck of material is allowed per residence.
• Brush pickup: Scheduled annually during the spring. Limbs should be no larger than three inches in diameter and placed near the curb.
• Leaf pickup: Scheduled annually during the fall. Leaves should be placed near the curb in plastic bags or loose.

Oakridge Transfer Station

The Oakridge Transfer Station is located at 48977 Kitson Springs Rd., Oakridge, OR 97463. The phone number is (541) 682-4120.

The Transfer Station accepts a wider variety of waste materials than the Convenience Center, including:

• Construction and demolition debris
• Municipal solid waste
• Yard waste
• Scrap metal
• Electronics
• Appliances

The Transfer Station also offers a recycling program for paper, plastic, metal, and glass.

Additional Information

• Both the Waste Connections Convenience Center and the Oakridge Transfer Station are closed on the following holidays:
  • New Year’s Day
  • Memorial Day
  • July 4th
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day
• For residential curbside trash and recycling pickup, trash and pickup will occur on all holidays with the exception of Thanksgiving and Christmas Day, which will be pushed back one day.
• The Preserve at Clinch River Residents (Formerly Rarity Ridge) have access to a convenience center located on Gallaher Road (State Route 58), just east of the Preserve at Clinch River entrance. This convenience center is available to Roane County residents.
