Home Solutions and Compost

The Residential Recycling Center encourages residents to compost as much yard waste as possible at home. Grass clippings can be left on the lawn to provide nutrients, while leaves and clippings make excellent mulch.

Free compost and wood chips are available to village residents on a first-come, first-served basis during regular operating hours. A loader for loading compost into vehicles is available on Saturdays only.

Recycling Stickers

To help streamline the material drop-off process, residents can obtain free recycling stickers at the Residential Recycling Center. Proof of residency is required. The stickers are valid for three years and should be placed on the inside of the windshield of the vehicle.
