Transfer Station Hours

  • Summer Hours (March 7th, 2024 – December 28th, 2024):
    • Thursdays and Fridays: 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM
    • Saturdays: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM
  • Winter Hours (January 6th, 2024 – March 2nd, 2024):
    • Saturdays: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Acceptable Items

The Transfer Station accepts the following items:

  • Household Trash: General household waste, such as food scraps, packaging, and paper products
  • Recyclables: Paper, cardboard, plastic, glass, and metal
  • Yard Waste: Grass clippings, leaves, and brush
  • Bulky Items: Furniture, mattresses, appliances, electronics, and scrap metal
  • 20lb Empty Propane Tanks
  • Tag Sale Items

Items Not Permitted

The Transfer Station does not accept the following items:

  • Hazardous Waste: Brake fluid, gasoline, mercury thermostats or thermometers, oil-based paint and stains, paint strippers/thinners, rechargeable batteries, turpentine, aerosol cans, ammonia, disinfectants, drain cleaners, floor care products, oven cleaners, polishes, adhesives, epoxy products, and glues, artists paints, cleaning solvents, fungicides, herbicides, insecticides and pesticides, mercury, mothballs, pool chemicals, driveway sealer, and roofing tar.

Additional Information

  • Proof of Residency: Residents must provide proof of residency, such as a driver’s license, vehicle registration, or recent utility bill, to use the Transfer Station.
  • Contractor Restrictions: The Transfer Station is for residents only. Contractors are not permitted to dispose of waste at the facility.
  • Trip Restrictions: Due to the limited size of the Transfer Station, the number of trips made on Friday afternoons and Saturdays may be restricted to one pickup load per resident.
  • Landscapers: Landscapers are not permitted to dispose of waste on Saturdays.
  • Bulk Waste: Residents can schedule curbside bulk waste pickup by calling the Community Development Office at 860-258-2766.
