Collection Center Locations and Hours

Union County operates five collection centers conveniently located throughout the county. The hours of operation for all centers are:

  • Monday – Saturday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Sunday: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Note: The Lake Butler and Providence centers are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, while the Worthington Springs, Palestine, and Raiford centers are closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Accepted Items

The collection centers accept a wide range of items, including:

  • Household solid waste: Bagged and placed in the compactor

  • Motor oil (except at the 121 site in Lake Butler and the Providence Site on SR 241)

  • Glass bottles and plastic containers for recycling can be taken to the New River Regional Landfill.
  • Larger loads of household solid waste can be accepted at the New River Regional Landfill, located 2 miles north of SR 16 on SR 121.
