The City of Biddeford’s Recycling/Transfer Station is located at 371 Hill Street and accepts the following items for disposal:

  • Brush ($10 per yd for contractors)
  • Cardboard
  • Glass jars
  • Grass clippings ($10 per yd for contractors)

  • Styrofoam
  • Carpeting – Throw Rugs / Decorative (cut all into 2×2 foot square pieces or strips)
  • Couches (cut in half)
  • Demo debris – wood, vinyl, ceiling tiles, etc ($20 per cubic yard cut into 3-foot pieces)
  • Large household Items (One cubic yard FREE for Biddeford residents per day cut into 3-foot pieces)
  • Furniture
  • Mattresses / box springs (Please remove all metal springs & wood from fabric)
  • Recliners / sleeper sofas (All metal must be removed)
  • Televisions, computer monitors and CPUs

Other Criteria & Fees:

  • $20 fee for Freon containing items
  • 4 tires per year – cars and pick-up trucks only: no fee
  • After 4 free, pick-up truck tires: $8 each
  • After 4 free, car tires: $5
  • No construction vehicle, farm equipment or dump truck tires accepted
  • Tires mounted on rims are not accepted
