Accepted and Unacceptable Waste Materials
The following waste materials are accepted at convenience centers and transfer stations in King and Queen County:
- Household waste from residents and property owners of King and Queen County
- Business waste from small businesses with limitations and restrictions described below
- Small loads, defined as a level full pick-up truck load, of construction and demolition waste from contractors with a valid building permit issued by King and Queen County
- Tires that are split lengthwise
The following waste materials are not accepted at convenience centers and transfer stations in King and Queen County:
- Liquids
- Loads of soil, brick or stone
- Hazardous waste
- Asbestos
- Industrial process waste
- Tires from commercial establishments
- Sawdust
- Large tree trunks and stumps
- Large animal carcasses
- Any material greater than 4 feet in length
