Trash Pick Up Schedule in Brookhaven
Trash collection in Brookhaven follows a consistent weekly schedule:
- Trash is collected every Wednesday
- Place trash at the curb no earlier than 5:00 PM on Tuesday evening
- Limit bulk trash to 3 items per collection day

Container Requirements
- Trash MUST be stored in covered containers
- Bulk items that don’t fit in containers are also collected
- Special rules for specific items:
- Mattresses and box springs must be wrapped in plastic
- Carpeting must be cut and rolled into 3-foot lengths (maximum 3 rolls)

A special trash and recyclables pickup will be scheduled on Saturday, January 3rd.
