Trash Pick Up Schedule in Brookhaven

Trash collection in Brookhaven follows a consistent weekly schedule:

• Trash is collected every Wednesday
• Place trash at the curb no earlier than 5:00 PM on Tuesday evening
• Limit bulk trash to 3 items per collection day

Residential Trash Collection Guidelines

Container Requirements

• Trash MUST be stored in covered containers
• Bulk items that don’t fit in containers are also collected
• Special rules for specific items:
  • Mattresses and box springs must be wrapped in plastic
  • Carpeting must be cut and rolled into 3-foot lengths (maximum 3 rolls)
