Sioux Falls Dump Hours

The Sioux Falls Regional Sanitary Landfill is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM. It is closed on Sundays.

What the Sioux Falls Dump Accepts

The Sioux Falls Regional Sanitary Landfill accepts the following items:

• Construction / demolition debris

• Yard waste/trees/brush (no ash wood)
• Tires (no rims)

What the Sioux Falls Dump Does Not Accept

The Sioux Falls Regional Sanitary Landfill does not accept the following items:

• Hazardous waste and electronics. These items can be dropped off at the City’s Household Hazardous Waste Facility.
• Ash Tree wood/logs/branches. Between Memorial Day and Labor Day, ash wood cannot be moved/disposed of in the Emerald Ash Borer Quarantine area.

Fees

There is a $30 fee for loads that are not properly secured.

• Tarp or tie-downs are required.
• The landfill will provide one free annual pass to Sioux Falls residents.
• Compost is available for free for households in the five county region: Lake, Lincoln, McCook, Minnehaha and Turner counties.
• The landfill has a regional recycling program.
• The landfill has a year-round electronic recycling drop-off.
• The landfill charges a $13 fee for each mattress or box spring.
